1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using VoxCanal, you agree to:

2. Service Description

VoxCanal is an AI-powered mobile application that:

• Extracts text from images and documents using OCR technology
• Generates AI-powered summaries of extracted content
• Converts text to audio using text-to-speech technology
• Processes voice recordings into text and summaries

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use VoxCanal, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Credits and Payment

4.1 Credit System

VoxCanal operates on a credit-based system:

• Credits are required to process scans and generate summaries
• Credit costs vary based on content length and processing type
• Credits do not expire
• Credits are non-transferable between accounts
• Credits cannot be exchanged for cash

4.2 Purchases

• All credit purchases are final and non-refundable (see Refund Policy)
• Prices are subject to change with notice
• Payment processing is handled by third-party providers
• You authorize us to charge your payment method for purchases

4.3 Free Credits

Promotional or free credits:

• May have expiration dates
• Are subject to specific terms and conditions
• Can be revoked for Terms violations
• Cannot be refunded or exchanged

5. Acceptable Use

5.1 You May

• Use VoxCanal for personal, educational, or commercial purposes
• Scan and process content you own or have permission to use
• Share generated audio summaries

5.2 You May Not

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
• Process illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the service
• Use automated systems to abuse the service
• Share your account with others
• Resell or redistribute our services
• Process content containing personal information of others without consent
• Use the service to generate spam or malicious content

6. Content and Intellectual Property

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you upload. By using VoxCanal, you grant us:

• A license to process, store, and display your content to provide the service
• Permission to use third-party AI services to process your content

We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for purposes other than providing our service, unless you give explicit consent.

6.2 Our Content

VoxCanal's software, design, features, and generated outputs are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute our software
• Remove copyright or proprietary notices
• Use our branding without permission

7. AI-Generated Content

Important disclaimers about AI-generated summaries:

• Summaries are generated by AI and may contain errors or inaccuracies
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of summaries
• You should verify important information from original sources
• AI outputs should not be used for critical decisions without verification
• We are not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated content

8. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service, but:

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time
• Scheduled maintenance may cause temporary unavailability
• We are not liable for service interruptions

9. Termination

9.1 By You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support@shiphustle.com. Upon termination:

• Your access will be revoked
• Unused credits will be forfeited
• Your data will be deleted according to our Privacy Policy

9.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Abuse the service or other users
• Fail to pay for services

Termination for violations results in forfeiture of all credits without refund.

10. Disclaimers

VoxCanal is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Accuracy or reliability of AI-generated content
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Security of data transmission

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months
• We are not liable for third-party services or content
• We are not liable for loss of data, profits, or business opportunities

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VoxCanal from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of others
• Content you upload or process

13. Third-Party Services

VoxCanal uses third-party services including:

• AI processing services (OpenAI, etc.)
• Payment processors (Paystack, etc.)
• Cloud hosting and storage providers

These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

14. Privacy

Your use of VoxCanal is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using our service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective:

• Immediately upon posting for non-material changes
• 30 days after notice for material changes

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of South Africa.

17. Dispute Resolution

Before filing a lawsuit, you agree to:

• Provide a detailed description of the dispute
• Attempt good faith negotiation for 30 days

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and VoxCanal.
